All About Me
Want to know a little more about me?  If you said "no", click to another section.  If you said "yes", read on.

I was born and raised in Canandaigua, NY.  I am the middle child of three. I have an older brother and younger sister.

I knew I wanted to be a teacher since about 7th grade.  When I graduated from Canandaigua in 1990, I went to Keuka College and earned my degree to become a teacher. I was hired right out of college as a third grade teacher in Virginia.   And while I loved the kids and the teaching, it was not the place for me.  So, I moved to Indiana, Pennsylvania (the town of Indiana in the state of Pennsylvania, it can be confusing) and earned my Master's degree in special education.

The year 1997 was a big year for me! I moved back to this area.  I got married. We bought our first house.  And, I got this great job teaching fifth grade at Bloomfield.  And I have been here ever since.

In May of 2011, we built a beautiful new house in Bloomfield where I live with my husband, two beautiful daughters, and Malarkey the dog.  My husband is a chemistry professor at RIT.  My older daughter, Miranda, is in tenth grade.  My younger daughter Jessica is in fifth grade.

A few other facts about Mrs. Cody:

I love to watch football.  The Miami Dolphins are my favorite team.  Yes, I know they aren't that good.  They can only get better.

Green is my favorite color. All shades.

I love playing volleyball.  Although I don't get to do it too often.  I used to coach the girls' JV Team here at Bloomfield.

My biggest hobbies are scrapbooking, reading, and taking pictures.
