In the United States, more cases of
Lyme disease are reported than any other bug-borne disease. In 2008
there were about 29,000 confirmed cases and 6277 probable cases of Lyme
disease in the U.S. Most of these cases are reported from the Northeast
and upper Midwest which makes it even more important for New York nurses
to be aware of this disease.
What is Lyme Disease? How do you get it? How can you prevent it?
The
CDC has a feature called, It's Spring - Time to Prevent Lyme Disease.
