One of the traditions that I have come to love at Bloomfield Elementary is the student send-off on the last day of school. For those of you who don't know, on the last day, all elementary staff and administrators line the sidewalks and wave to the students as they board buses, leave the school and head home for the summer. 

I'd like to recreate this moment by inviting you to drive through the Elementary School parking lot on June 15th. Teachers, Teacher Assistants, and Administrators will be there from 11am-1pm-masked and socially distanced--to wave to you and your student(s) as you drive by. 

As much as we miss you, we have to ask that you stay in your car, keep moving, pay attention to school personnel directing traffic, and do not stop to hug staff members. Our goal is to see you all and to maintain the health and wellbeing of everyone. 

(I realize too that folks might be tempted to drop off school items at this time. Please refrain from doing this during the send-off as there will be too many cars to do it safely)
