Message from the Superintendent

Dear Bloomfield School Community;

Spring is always a busy and exciting time in our schools, and this week has been filled with great opportunities to celebrate the talents and hard work of our students.

Our students in grades 6–12 have worked very hard to prepare for this year’s musical, The Little Mermaid. Our Elementary students had the opportunity to see a preview of the show on Thursday morning and the talent level of the students performing is off the charts. Performances will take place tonight, Friday March 13 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 14 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. The cast and crew have put in countless hours to create a fantastic show, and we hope you’ll join us to support them. Tickets are available at bloomfieldcsd.seatyourself.biz or can be purchased at the door.

Our Participation in Government class recently welcomed members of local law enforcement, including our school’s SRO, to speak with students about careers in the field. Students prepared thoughtful questions in advance, and the guests shared insights about their responsibilities, training, and the many career pathways available in public service. Thank you to Participation in Government teacher Scott Calabrese for organizing this valuable career exploration opportunity for our students.

The Elementary CARES Club is collecting donations of food and new socks through March 18th. If you would like to donate, please send your donations in to the Elementary Main office.

Finally, we want to wish Lydia Tutty the best of luck tomorrow. Lydia recently won her third consecutive individual sectional title in bowling and will compete in the state tournament on Saturday, March 14. Good luck, Lydia!

As always, thank you for your ongoing support and partnership. Please remember to let us know if you ever have any questions or ever need anything.

Have a great weekend.

Andy Doell
