Message from the Superintendent
Dear Bloomfield School Community,
I hope you all have had a great week! It seems the closer we get to the end of the 2026-2027 school year, the busier the weeks become.
I want to start this week’s message with heartfelt gratitude to our school community for your support of the school budget. We believe a budget is so much more than dollars and cents, it is an investment in children, in opportunities, and in the moments that shape a school year.
Because of the continued support from our community, our students are able to walk through our doors each day into classroom spaces that inspire creativity, collaboration, and a lifelong love of learning. This budget ensures that the first day of school is special, it fuels the excitement of concerts and performances, the pride of athletic competitions, the joy of field trips, and the celebration of graduation. It supports the teachers who stay late to help, and it fosters the smiles we see every day in our cafeterias and hallways.
Schools are more than buildings. They are places where students discover who they are, where caring adults guide and inspire them, and where lifelong memories are made. Your support helps make all of that possible. Thank you for believing in our students, our staff, and the future of our schools. We are incredibly grateful for this community and proud of what we continue to accomplish together.
That sense of pride extends well beyond our classrooms, too. I want to congratulate our tennis team, who brought a sectional title home to Bloomfield on Thursday! This is the first team sectional title in tennis in our school district’s history! Remarkably, this victory marks the eighth consecutive sports season in which our student-athletes have won a sectional title. That is quite a streak!
Finally, as we head into Memorial Day weekend, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage and dedication remind us all of the true meaning of community, service, and gratitude.
As always, thank you for your ongoing support and partnership. Please remember to let us know if you ever have any questions or need anything.
Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.
Andy Doell
