Dear Elementary Parents and Guardians,
We are pleased to share that the interview process for our Elementary Principal position has concluded, and the Bloomfield Board of Education has appointed Mrs. Savannah Walker as our new Elementary Principal. Mrs. Walker will be starting with us sometime during the first week of November.
Mrs. Walker brings a rich background in elementary education, having served as a Kindergarten teacher, reading and math interventionist, and most recently as an assistant principal.
Dr. Marchionda will continue to lead the Elementary building alongside Mrs. Ulmer through the end of October to ensure a smooth transition for our students and staff.
We were fortunate to have a large pool of highly qualified applicants, and this search was successful thanks to the active involvement of our school community. We truly appreciated the input that was given by those who completed the feedback survey and are thankful for those who served on interview teams.
We believe that Mrs. Walker is a great fit for our Elementary School and we look forward to seeing the great things she will accomplish for our students as our new Elementary Principal. Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Walker to Bloomfield!
