Message from the Superintendent
Dear Bloomfield School Community,
I hope you have had a chance to enjoy the beautiful fall weather and the changing colors of the leaves. This time of year offers a wonderful reminder that change is a natural part of life. While it can sometimes bring uncertainty, it can also bring great things if we take the time to look for them.
Speaking of change, I want to begin with a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Tracy Marchionda for her leadership as Interim Elementary Principal while we conducted our search for the next principal of Bloomfield Elementary School. Dr. Marchionda's time with us has ended this week, and beginning Monday, Mrs. Savannah Walker will step into the role. We are grateful for Dr. Marchionda's time and commitment to our school community, and we wish her all the best.
I am confident that Mrs. Walker will build strong, positive relationships with students, families, faculty, and staff while continuing the great work already underway this school year. If you get the opportunity please take a moment to welcome Mrs. Walker to the Bloomfield Elementary School Community.
It has been another great week across the District, and I am excited to share some of the wonderful things happening in our schools.
I would like to recognize our Elementary Special Area Department (PE, Art, Library, and Music) for its continued commitment to creating engaging and meaningful experiences for students throughout the school year. Our annual Fall Festival is a great example of the creativity, planning and teamwork that go into making these schoolwide experiences so special. We appreciate all the time and energy this team dedicates to our students.
I also want to recognize our PTSA for coordinating tonight's Trunk or Treat event at the Elementary School from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Their efforts help create fun opportunities for students and families to come together, and we are grateful for their continued support.
Earlier this month, our National Honor Society organized another successful Red Cross Blood Drive. Thanks to the efforts of our NHS members and their advisor, Mr. Lubberts, we collected 25 units of blood, with the potential to help save up to 75 lives. Thank you to everyone who took the time to donate and support this important effort.
Earlier this week, Senator Helming hosted her 10th Annual Veterans Recognition Ceremony, where our District's Senior Account Clerk, Cierra Pierce, was among those recognized for their service to our community. Congratulations to Mrs. Pierce on this well-deserved honor! Her dedication to the District and her commitment to serving others are truly appreciated.
Finally, I hope you will join us for our upcoming production of Annie Jr. at the Bloomfield Performing Arts Center! This family-friendly production is sure to be a wonderful showcase of our students' talents, and we hope to see you there.

As always, thank you for your continued support and partnership. Whether we are welcoming new faces, celebrating student accomplishments, or enjoying the traditions that bring our community together, it is the people who make Bloomfield such a special place. I look forward to all that we will continue to accomplish together.
